Job Description:
The Camp Manager Intern's main responsibility is to ensure successful implementation of camp programs while maintaining a safe environment for campers and staff alike.
​
1.  
Facilitate and evaluate camp programs to ensure the needs and interests of the participants are met in a safe and quality manner.​
2. Train and direct staff.
3. Assist in camp planning and organization.
4. Oversee the daily operation of the camp including programs, camper participation/welfare and staff.
Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree, and majoring in parks and recreation, youth development or related field.  
Candidate must possess knowledge of basic outdoor recreation skills.
This position requires general knowledge of computers, the Windows operating system, networking, and Windows Office products.
​Must pass credit check, Federal/National criminal background investigation and have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Benefits:
Hourly Pay: $12.35
No City sponsored benefits are extended to temporary employees.
Achievements:
​During my internship with the City of  Grapevine I helped implement program ideas for the outdoor outreach program, as well as implementing Fourth of July festivities. While working for the City of Grapevine I also gained experience and a greater knowledge for Municipal Government. Lastly, to properly manage and implement camp I became a level one archery instructor.
